EbonyVoice (El Duque de La Salsa) - Sonriendo
Jorge Damián Alonso del Toro, artistically known as EbonyVoice – El Duque de La Salsa and based in Barcelona Spain, was born on April 18, 1988 in Cayo Hueso, a barrio in Habana Vieja (Cuba), where rumberos defined the environment of it’s streets.
His passion for music began at the age of 6 years old, playing his first notes on a piano bought for him by his mother and grandmother, María Caridad del Toro y Nieves Adelaida Pulido, who were his inspiration to achieve his goals musically and in his life. At such a young age, his musical career is quite extensive, highlighted by his participation with groups such as Orquesta Adalberto Alvares y su Son, Omara Portuondo, Bamboleo, Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, and BLOQUE 53 (known today as Tromboranga). As a soloist, EbonyVoice has shared the stage with Joaquim Poblet, Foncho - El Gitano del Bolero, Frankie Vazquez, Los Hermanos Quintero, and Marcial Isturiz.
His new single “Sonriendo” is bringing a fresh, new vibrant Salsa sound in Spain and Europe, preparing him for his arrival in the United States, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the world. “Sonriendo” returns him to his roots, honoring his native Cuba, where he began his career.
Wito Rodriguez - Como El Viento
Wito Rodriguez proudly releases his latest production entitled “Como el Viento” in 2017. This album contains a compilation of songs recorded over the years in Europe that never made it to the western hemisphere. This album is dedicated, by Wito to the musicians and authors. Without them there would be no sound of a beautiful melody nor lyrics. In this recording he picked musicians from Venezuela, our sister Caribbean Country, because when he was around 15-16 years old, his sister took him there for a small weekend vacation. "Wow! What a difference" Wito says. He got to hear some music in the streets and loved the “tumbao.”
Although keeping busy in 2016 with live performances, this new album has been produced and recorded between Venezuela, South America and Orlando, Florida.

Between the years 1950 and 1980, a top tourist attraction for Latinos was the popular resort and hotels known as Las Villas of Plattekill located in New York. Originally operated by Spanish immigrants, Las Villas was a group of dance clubs that served as a summer vacation hot spot for Latinos and gave birth and rise to tropical music, to include mambo, salsa, rumba, and merengue, in the United States. Las Villas became a forum for showcasing live musical artists who would go on to become Latin music legends such as El Gran Combo, Ray Barretto, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Oscar D’Leon, New Swing Sextet, Chuito Velez, and many others. While their music gained popularity, Las Villas, too, became famous for introducing fresh musical performances that arrived there straight from the Caribbean in which is what now today forms part of the Latino's cultural heritage. The first film project of Ritmo Caribe Promotions, “Back to Las Villas,” is a special tribute that fulfills the purpose of bringing back the nostalgic pleasure for those who grew up in the musical era of the original great bands and artists. "Back to Las Villas" is a vibrant documentary production that provides an appealing glimpse of the era that has shaped modern day Latin music and the entertainment industry and that is sure to impress an audience of all ages.
